I have recently felt inspired to share more of what I have learned about being a Mother in Zion. This morning, prompted by a church video about Christ, I am going to begin again to teach and coach mothers in a telephone-class series titled "Enduring And Enjoying To The End". LONG VERSION
This morning I was drawn to sit down in front of the TV. Knowing that I didn't want my kids to wake up and see my in entertainment mode on Saturday morning I chose to watch a BYU Devotional I had previously recorded.
I choose a talk given by a professor at BYU-Idaho and discussed the importance of having a testimony of Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. To be honest, I slept through the last half of it but the idea that our spiritual maturity is based on the strength of our testimony of Joseph Smith's prophetic call comforted me.
Realizing sleep was exactly what I needed, and hoping another devotional would control my thoughts enough to relax (yeah, I have a lot going on), I choose a devotional from Elder Bednar at BYU Education Week August 2014. I didn't go to sleep. Even with my eyes closed I was caught up in his message of the blessing of technology to share the gospel around the world.
I was completely caught off guard, however, when he played the Easter movie the church produced "Because Of Him". I was struck with the power of the message, because of Christ we can all begin again.
You see, I am in the process of beginning again (again).
About 8 years ago I started a path that lead me in new directions than I had ever experienced. My family circumstances compelled me to earn an income. I had provided that for years through real estate investing, child care and honor snack boxes. These miraculous tools had allowed me to be the primary care giver of my three little ones while infusing our family with cash flow. I was tired of them all, and they didn't feel like they were just the right thing for me.
Over the course of the next few years my friends tease that I "tried everything" in the home-based business arena. The profession that inspired me the most and felt like it was most connected to what my Patriarchal Blessing told me to do was becoming a coach and healer. However, my path to create that type of business pushed every prideful button I have. I soared, burned and crashed over and over. It got to the point that I swore I would just have to step away and consider that maybe this was a dream I would never be able to realize.
Right as I did an acquaintance invited me to learn about a program she was involved in. With hesitation I hired her to teach me a little bit. I learned more about myself and how I interacted with the world in those couple of hours than I ever imagined. It lead me to accept her invitation to hear the creator of the program speak. THAT 10 minute talk completely opened my personal self worth and mission in a way it had been closed for years, and I found a way to enroll in his three year Life Mastery Program.
Throughout my time I knew that I would be returning to coaching, but I didn't know how or when. Family financial goals once again invite me to create income by the end of February. I have been praying about "is this time to begin again"? At the same time I had asked a friend involved in healing "how do I acknowledge Christ in all the healing that I have been doing if He is not brought into it?
This video was the turning point. It was my signal that NOW is the time to begin again. It was the signal that because of Christ ALL can begin again.
It is the path I am using to announce that I am looking for a group of LDS Women who want to participate in a free telephone class series to promote the paid program I will begin on March 1st.
The free series will include short books to read and be teachings around how to become a better Mother and Money Magnet. It will be called "Enduring And Enjoying To The End". It will begin Tuesday December 1 and include 3 phone calls in December, January and February.
